Every brand has a story, and the story of KTO is one of many upsets

Since its inception in 2018, sports upsets have always been a source of inspiration for us at KTO. The brand prides itself to have started as a complete underdog, in a hard-to-penetrate market, already dominated by the big guns.

KTO rose quickly through the ranks like an up-and-coming tennis player or boxer and outgunned a lot of its competitors which have been in the business for decades.

Our fascination with historical sports upsets also manifests itself in the way we do things and in our core values. These values define our outlook on life and the way we strive to smash the odds and ultimately, win.

The 2004 NBA Finals was a true “David vs Goliath” , in which a star-studded LA Lakers played against the Detroit Pistons. The series was tied after the first two games when the Pistons went on to complete a “five game sweep” by winning the following three games and crowned NBA champions for the first time since 1990.
